THESIS PROPOSAL PRESENTATION: DAY 2

Alhamdulillah. Semua sudah selesai. Thumbs up to all!

THESIS PROPOSAL PRESENTATION: DAY 1

"What is the use of knowing the ash content?" Ha, ash content. Quite a straight-forward one yet challenging. Then I was like having my own sweet time thinking about the best answer to give and finally I came to answer Dr Siti's question like this, "Low ash content will produce high quality activated carbon. The low ash content contributes to adsorption efficiency," Pretty much like that la.... Then Dr Siti looked at me and said,

"Why low ash content is good? Any specific reason?" I was like, whaa? Specific reason? I dunnow lol. I was thinking how to be like answering the question by ''tembak-tembak sudahla..." method.  I then repeat the same answer, being like so redundant. "Good adsorption capacity...". Whatever LoL.

Heh, I know Dr Siti would glare at me with a tinge of disbelief. And I was right on that. Tehee...
Then, Prof Basha came to give me that nerve-wrecking moments when he asked me why would I do the same thing as what had been done by the previous researchers. And I was struggling to find the answer and then I gave the best answer I could give. Well, I hope it was the best one. And when Prof Basha asked me questions, it was like in avalanche.

Bukan external disk, tapi external evaluator. Pedulikan Imran.

Ni tyme Farah kena soal ngan Dr Nik. Pergh, soalan Dr Nik mmg gempak habis.

Aik Farah, ape ko buat kat celah dinding tu...

Berangan tak sudah

If only this can last forever...........

Kecoh, siyes kecoh.

Effects of Different Chemical Activating Agents in the Synthesis and Characterizations of Activated Carbon using Coconut Shell

Itulah tajuk thesis setakat nie. Harap-harap tak perlu nak kena tukar lagi la.

Anyway this topic is interesting. It is very good thing to study. Hope those peeps will understand what imma gonna say.

Anyway, not this kind of peeps:
Delicious aye?

....but rather this one:
Ha, amik ko tersembul wallpaper dibuatnyew....

Okay, stop. Enough with the lame jokes. Bye.

Karnival Keusahawanan 2

Hari Kedua Karnival Keusahawanan. Main menu: Soto Ayam GBG

Hari ni, jualan agak slow progress-nya berbanding semalam. Namun, hasilnya agak lumayan. Alhamdulillah. Syukur nikmat.

Mari belajar peribahasa Inggeris!

Assalamualaikum everyone. Feels like writing something la pulak hari ni. A friend had just asked me about what does it mean by 'taking things for granted'. I wasn't so sure, saying that it means like, mensia-siakan apa yang ade. Something like that I supposed. I just guessed it though, since I was quite not clear on the proverb. Then I went to surf about it out of the driving curiousity and I found this:

take someone or something for granted - to expect someone or something to be always available to serve in some way without thanks or recognition; to value someone or something too lightly.

maksudnya?

Maybe because we are  being a little bit ungrateful on things and people around us, causing us to take things for granted.

kesimpulannya, don't ever take things for granted. appreciate things
and also people around you. hargailah mereka selagi mereka masih ada.
another take home message for you :

Walaupun banyak menda kat sekeliling kita yang kita rasa kecik dan tak berapa significant, kita mesti hargai menda-menda tu. Biasanya once menda tu dah hilang baru kita sedar significance-nye. So before dia hilang, kita perlu hargai dan cherish mereka itu, baik manusia ataupun harta benda. Sekian.

Angan-angan

Best kan kalau ada software windows 7 yang ori, tak la lappy aku jadi macam ni...

hitam je background dia. dalah ada tulis "this copy of windows is not genuine". betul-betul boleh buat aku jadi grumpy. memang lah tak ori. dah nama pun student, mana mampu nak cari duit untuk beli software yang ori. beratus tu. hm, kalau software ori, takkan jadi hitam macam ni lah. mesti jadi cantik je ngan background2 macam nie.

tapi skang ni berangan jelah. (T_T)

success!

Thanks to Allah, we had finally ended our seminar IChemTech'11 with relief. Students from three IPTAs (UKM, UiTM, UM) also participated in the seminar. It was our pleasure to have so many students joining our seminar because it was the very first of its kind, representing our program, Industrial Chemical Technology and it reflects some kind of positive feedback from people outside the university. Overall, it was very exciting yet adrenaline-pumping moments in handling such seminar. Being the director of seminar, I was quite exhausted going back and forth to make sure everyone was set in their own position on that day ( I don't know why, but I felt like a douche wearing the blazer). The event flows very smoothly and it is all thanks to every committees that it went down very nicely. Therefore,  I would like to express my gratitude to all my friends who were very dedicated in making this seminar a reality. now my heart is finally at ease. well done everyone!

Posing with Dr Aziz and Encik Asri

Our first speaker Prof Musa bin Ahmad,
Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International USIM

The second speaker Prof Basharuddin from Malaysia Genome Institute

Prof Basharuddin was a very great speaker. He is very brilliant too. I really was stupefied when he told us that he took 2 majors (double degree) and even completed them in 5 years. Computer Science and at the same time Chemistry. Wow, that really is something!

Prof Basharuddin receiving souvenir from Dr Hafez, acting Dean of FST

Prof Ikram M.Said from InBiosis UKM

Our last speaker, Dr Abdul Aziz bin Omar, senior fellow of FST, USIM. Dr Aziz have diverse experience in petroleum industry since he had worked with Petronas for more than 20 years. Being the last speaker, he got so many questions from the audience since what he had told us about his experience working in the challenging but lucrative world of petroleum industry was so interesting. Dr Aziz rocks!

Awesome Weekend at Tiara Beach Resort

It was a very exciting outing with my friends. Why? Because, we went to spend our Saturday by joining the PMO Family Outing at Tiara Beach Resort in Port Dickson. It was an annual event organized by Petronas. You must be wondering, why would we go there? We are not even working at Petronas. Heavens no! Well,  it's all thanks to Dzilal's father (and also Dzilal for driving us all the way to PD, thanks!) that we got to spend our weekend with such event. We went there as to represent her father who couldn't make it to the family day  event and we were like a real family with real children, but, of the same age. Haha, funny I guess. Or not?

Dalam keta pun nak amik gambar. Memang hardcore punye camwhores

Pemandangan dari dalam bilik

Wajah segar di pagi hari before join game sukaneka.
Natural beauty kah ini?

Besar hamper...

Kami sempat bergambar dengan hadiah sebelum pulang. We played 2 games under women adults category. 2 games! And to our surprise, we got 3rd place in Chaplin and 1st place for Underwater Treasure Hunt. Chaplin punya game memang lawak habis. Serius! Hmpfftt. Macam mak-mak pulak ye dapat tupperware. Kitorang tak bawak camera masa main sebab memang takde sape yang akan amik gambar, semua pun main. So before balik je lah sempat nak posing ala-ala ratu gitu.

Lunch yang amat oomph, wallah!

Farah: Wah, santai kan kita, Ain?
Ain: Emm...

best tahap gaban dapat mandi pool (walopun skali ngan bebudak kecik baya 9-10 tahun) memang terserlah elemen ketidakmatangan di situ. well, ada kitorang kisah?

It was such a great event. We were so happy to join the games and we even won the prizes. Wahaha! I really love  the second game which we got the 1st place for. The Underwater Treasure Hunt was so fun! I was so engrossed looking for the pieces of puzzle in the pool until I felt like dipping in the water forever! Exaggerating  statement. Yeah, memang best sampai kitorang rasa macam nak duduk lama-lama je dalam pool tu. Siyes best (berapa kali mau ulang da..).

till then, chow!
